For Richard's family it is a tradition to see the play A Christmas Carol each holiday season. But they don't just go out for a night at the theater, they become a small part of it. Throughout the year Richard's Grandfather volunteers as an usher and at Christmas time we all join him for the show.
There's something a bit magical about walking into the near empty lobby and watching as the seats fill (nearly every one!) with everyone excited for a bit of theater.
With a new actor playing Scrooge and lots of other little changes to the presentation of a story I witness no less than once a year last night's show was amazing, with so many opportunities to laugh. Just enough cold in the air while walking to the theater, and just enough peppermint in the post-show hot cocoa.
